patriot in the sense that he was concerned about 
the country. He would call me up and say for 
example, “Immigration policy in this country is out 
of hand. We are letting so many people in without 
any preparation for them, or any preparation for 
us, that it’s going to turn us into the Americans. 
And we are going to have conflicts in that respect. 
You’d better tell Trudeau.” And I would say, 
Marshall, why don’t you tell Trudeau? You’ve got 
as much access. “No, no, he’d say, you tell 
Trudeau, he would pay attention to you.” And this 
was not racism by the way, this was an 
observation that there would be a clash of 
cultures coming here from our immigration policy
